Brady's surgery was today. I took him back to the operating room and stayed with him while they administered the anesthesia. Once he was "asleep", I left and within 5-10 minutes the doctor was telling us that everything went great. Just a couple of minutes after he left us, a nurse came and told us that Brady was waking up and we could go see him.
We went back to the recovery room and I was able to nurse Brady through most of the waking up experience. His eyes were a little "druggy" so we had to hang around until he was a little more alert.
From start of the surgery to in our car on the way home, it only took about 45 minutes. Within an hour or so of the surgery, Brady was back to his normal happy self. Right now, he is crawling around the house and enjoying himself.
So far, the only strange thing I have noticed is that he occasionally jerks like he has lost his balance. I assume that this is because he is having to learn how to balance without the everpresent fluid in his ears.
I'll post some pictures a little later. Thanks to everyone who thought about us today. I appreciate it.
